Board Members

The District was formed through Caddo Parish Commission Ordinance number 2291 of 1985, in accordance with LA R.S. 33:9101 (1983).

The District shall be governed by a board of commissioners composed of seven (7) members who shall be qualified electors of the District and shall be appointed by the Caddo Parish Commission.

Four (4) of the board members shall be appointed from nominees of the mayor of the City of Shreveport which have been approved by the Shreveport City Council. One (1) of the board members shall be appointed from a nomination of the sheriff of Caddo Parish. At least two (2) board members shall be appointed from qualified electors of the district domiciled outside the city of Shreveport
