Phone, Radio & Dispatch Statistics

This area provides statistics covering the 9-1-1 Call Volume, Incidents Dispatched and Radio System Push-to-Talk Sequences.

The historical document is a one page summary including data from as far back as 1989 (when available).

The annual products provide a more in-depth review, highlighting the efforts of public safety agency call takers & dispatchers, and the District staff. These products are created from information stored in the various databases of the advanced technology platforms used to operate the parish's emergency number and emergency communications systems. These systems include: the Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) Capable Call Handling System, the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, the Public Safety Agency Automated Attendant System, the P25 Compliant Digital Radio System, the Administrative Phone System, and the Task Request Portal System.

The "Caddo Parish 911" call handling system is purposely designed and built to push all incoming 9-1-1 requests for service to call takers from the Shreveport Fire Department, so they may triage the incident for Fire/EMS emergencies - while simultaneously dispatching for those incidents. However, if all of those positions are processing calls, the next call is automatically routed to call takers from the Shreveport Police Department, who are trained to triage the calls in the very same manner.
